An overflow of garage/punk music you should be listening to.

Useless Eaters - Hypertension
23 year old Seth Sutton bluntly says that dropping out of high school was “the best decision I’ve ever made” He certainly has not wasted any time, since 2011, he has put out four full-length albums and a singles compilation. It didn’t hurt that he worked and toured with Jay Reatard in the last few years before Jay’s death. They both demonstrate the attitude that there is only so much time to be musically productive. Hypertension marks the first time Seth has recorded in a studio - “in Nashville next to a garbage dump.” The result is an album with the feel of eighties punk, combining elements from bands such as The Fall and Joy Division. “The whole idea behind hypertension is that most people aren’t aware- or just don’t care about- their situations and will buy into anything,” says Sutton.
